OM on the Range Alternative Therapies (PMA)

My name is Amber Strauch.
I am an Equine Osteopath EDO® and hold certification in a large number of other therapies. I also have training in barefoot trimming and nutrition.  I work year round on a haul-in basis to our ranch near Chaplin, SK.

Using my unique combination of skills, knowledge and experience, I assess the body as a whole, in all aspects and concidering superficial as well as deep issues that could be negatively affecting performance, attitude, quality of life, recovery time, reproduction, training, etc.

I work on horses, dogs, most other large and small animals as well as their owners. I work very closely with veterinarians, equine dental professionals, homeopaths, nutritional experts, farriers and barefoot trimmers.
A little about myself:

I am a second generation equine therapist, animals have always been deeply integrated into my upbringing and daily life. My parents studied and practiced daily a large number of therapies on both animals and people including Touch for Health, Kinesiology, Nutritional Dowsing as well as many others. I grew up absorbing and compounding on their knowledge which added to the intuitive and healing gifts which I was blessed to be born with to help animals.

I began working on horses at a very young age and have always aimed to keep furthering my education, expanding my knowledge base and training my skills and feel.

Diplomas and Certificates

2004 & 2005: Animal Communication: I have certification from a couple of different instructors who taught me to explore and control my intuitive gifts as well as how to facilitate others to do the same.
I offer courses in Animal Communication as well as utilize this skill in my work.

2005:  Tera MaiTM Reiki Level 1, 2 and Master/Teacher: This is a fantastic modality which I use as a part of all treatments which I
perform. I also offer workshops in all three levels of Tera MaiTM Reiki.

Reiki is a wonderful ancient healing technique that involves a specific frequency of channelled energy which assists the body to cleanse built up toxins, relieves pain, soothes shock, calms the mind, eases emotions, accelerates the bodys natural ability to heal itself, promotes a state of total relaxation and wellbeing.

Tera MaiTM  Reiki does not conflict with other medical procedures but in fact it supports and enhances other medical treatments. It is used in many hospitals and treatment centres to aid in the care of patients with cancer and AIDS as well as other disorders and addictions. Tera MaiTM Reiki is one part of an integrative  wellness program.

2005: Akashic Records First Tier Certification. This course assisted in intuitive development and deeper understanding.

2007: Regression Therapy Certification: This knowledge has helped me to assist on a deeper level of healing and gives perspective into patterns and rooted issues.

2007: Angelic Medium Practitioner Certification:  This wonderful modality has helped to further train and deepen my clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairsentient skills to help bring balance and understanding.

2007: Feng Shui Practitioner Certification: Feng Shui is the ancient art of organizing your surroundings so that energyflows properly. This energy flow affects all aspects of our lives and the lives of our animals on many levels including health, wealth, and happiness.

Sometimes the healthy energy becomes disrupted or other influences change the peaceful feeling of our surroundings which affects both people and animals in negative ways. This training gives me a unique deep perspective into some subtle things that may be affecting yourself and your animals on a subconscious level.

2008: Ashtanga Vinyasa 200hr Teacher Certification: After practicing yoga for a number of years and seeing the improvement in my flexibility, balance, fitness, wellbeing and health and seeing how these changes in me affected the way I rode which in turn affected my horses and their bodies. I knew that this was something that wanted to study more in depth and share with others. This training
has given me a unique perspective into motion, movement, health and nutrition.

2011-2014: Equine Osteopath EDO® Diploma: I completed and successfully graduated from the 3 year course at The Vluggen Institute of Equine Osteopathy in San Marcos, Texas. I am proud to be registered with the IREO (International Register for Equine Osteopathy) which is responsible for certifying skills and standards of professionalis required for its members.  I am also a member of the WAEO (Worldwide Alliance of Equine Osteopaths) and attend conferences whenever possible.
Equine Osteopathy is a manual therapy that has been adapted from the principles and standards developed in Human Osteopathy. It has been translated, adapted and modified to the unique anatomy and physiology of the equine body.

It is based on scientific principles and on in depth and precise knowledge of structural and functional anatomy of the bones, muscles, circulatory system and nervous system.

The body is concidered as a whole with interaction between the three main systems:  the parietal system (the structure, the skeleton), the visceral system (the organs), and the craniosacral system (the brain, related tissue and structures).  I assist to regain motion in the body as a whole so that all of its systems and functions have the opportunity to work at their best possible level that the structure will allow.

2015:  Canine Osteopathy:  I completed both post graduate courses through the Vluggen Institute of Equine Osteopathy in San Marcos, Texas.
